Brief History on CDBC
In 2002, five deaf anglers in southern California got together to share common goal - to continue hosting bass tournaments all over California geared toward the deaf. The other goal was to host national tournamnets. The first local touranment was held at Don Pedro Lake and Blake Smith won the first prize. The membership exploded very quickly with many anglers and supporters. CDBC decided to host the national tournament in June 2008, the NBAD 33rd Annual Team, held at Clear Lake. This tournament produced several national records, including the Top 6 Team with 255 pounds and total tournament weight of 1081.8 pounds with only 19 boats. CDBC believes that members vote for lakes every year.
